Community Beat for 10 October

2025-10-10 - EVE Online Community Team

Hello spacefriends and welcome to the latest Community Beat!

Totality Day YC127

Every year on October 13 the Kybernaut community celebrates Totality Day - the anniversary of the conclusion to the long and bitter struggle during the Triglavian Invasion of YC122 which resulted in the creation of the Pochven region.

As part of this year's celebrations there are a series of NPSI (Not Purple Shoot It) activities being hosted by various Kybernaut groups. These are public events meaning that anyone is welcome to come along! To find out how to get involved join the Triglavian Collective Discord and look for announcements!

Grimdank

Creative capsuleer Khezu knight connected two of our favourite hobbies with these awesome EVE-inspired paint themes for some Warhammer 40k miniatures. If you've ever wondered what a Triglavian Terminator or an Angel Cartel Psychophage would look like wonder no more:

Check out Khezu's posts ( 1 | 2 ) on Reddit to see these pics in higher res, as well as for a bonus mini depicting Amarr themed Terminator armour (Glory to the... Empress?) and to see some awesome luminescent paintwork!

Meanwhile over on the official EVE Online Discord, SchwartzNinhh posted some images of their growing collection of 3D printed and hand painted EVE Online ship models:

To see these and several other ships refer to this post on our Discord. Not on the official EVE Online Discord? Then this would be a great time to join!

To round out this section of creative works we have to give a shout out to lIDragonfyreIl who won the GM Week SKINR contest with this incredible design called Toxic Blade for the Cenotaph:

Alliance Tournament Art Contest

Nora Maldoran aka long time EVE blogger the greybill is running a community art contest to commemorate Alliance Tournament XXI with 5,000 PLEX up for grabs! To be in the hunt for a piece of that prize you have to create a new piece of media that either celebrates the AT as a whole or just a particular team.

Full details on the contest including deadlines and how to submit your entries are included in their forum post and their blog post about the contest. Good luck!

EVE Down Under

Australia's biggest player gathering EVE Down Under took place once again last month in Sydney with CCP Larrikin and CCP Convict in attendance. The event was held at the the impressive Fortress esports and gaming facility. The program included some large scale set-piece battles on the Thunderdome test server and a PvP tournament as well as a presentation (including an exclusive first look at the 2D map) and some live data science from CCP, and quite a bit of time spent in the bar as you'd expect. 🍻

EVE Down Under 2026 is already in the works so keep an eye out for news by joining the EVE Down Under Discord!

That's all for this Beat! See you again in a couple of weeks. o7
