Community Beat for 26 September

2025-09-26 - 作者 EVE Online Community Team

It's been a productive couple of weeks, with creatives across the universe cooking up a collection of different videos, art, and third-party programs. Seeing everyone interact with GM activities during GM Week and Vanguard deploying into the Nemsis event has also been super fun. We have a section at the end covering some of the Vanguard activities, but let's start with what's been happening over in EVE Online!

Making dreams into reality

3D Printers continue to become increasingly commonplace and remain an incredible tool for transforming the digital world into something physical and tangible. If you attended last Fanfest, you may have noticed that we had several 3D-printed objects around the Harpa ourselves - up in the PvP room was a scaled version of Jita 4-4. Meanwhile, at the bar and food area downstairs, we had a massive Rifter with various SKINs projected onto it.
Schandsquatch also recently got a few 3D prints done of various EVE ships - A Venture, a spikey boi Phantasm, triangular supremacy via the Leshak and Ziiiiirnita and finally my personal favourite, just because of the smooooth design - the Marshal! It's great seeing these in people's homes and the various steps some go through with sanding and painting them like hobbyist miniatures, glorious!

HOLD MY PROBS

The Astero remains a mainstay ship of choice for the explorers of our boundless frontiers. With its ability to reliably probe down relic and data sites, it is often picked for those looking to scour the universe for hidden riches. Renowned spaceship painter Lloyd George also blessed us with a recent creation of an Astero popping down a probe.

Galactic Express

Outstanding screenshots are also something we occasionally like to show off, and the recent Rokh picture posted by Scrap_Rat on Reddit certainly falls into that category. The sparkle emissions from a nearby gate, the rings of a nearby planet, and the fires of Minmatar space, eclipsing the grey and blue highlights of the ship, make it look like a Galactic Express locomotive- all aboard!

Videos Galore!

We're blessed with a few videos we thought were neat in the last couple of weeks, too. The SLOW Community posted a video covering the story of Caroline's Star. Seen any Drifters in the universe? A weird green smudge out in space? Enormous Jovian observatories that appear to be falling into decay? Weird little ships that are scanning objects around space? Learn about some of the story by checking out their video:

For those a little more action and PvP-focused, renowned wormhole enjoyers No Vacancies battled it out against Hard Knocks in a battle of nearly a hundred pilots in J115405, with around 80b ISK worth of ships destroyed. Roman Furrer assembled a video of the recent battle, including comms from the fight, which is also always super cool to hear.

On the topic of PvP, that actually segues us nicely into our 3rd party apps and development section. Battle reports constructed from Zkill posts have been a mainstay for many over the years to show "Who won" a battle, be it the ISK war, efficiency, or even just "I was there". A new battle report generator has been created recently called "Warbeacon", which shows the regular statistics of the final values and even shows things like which side was taking losses across a timeline. Give the website a go!

Re-routing, standby

EVE Router is another new tool that we recently caught wind of. It's a mashup between the in-game map, dotlan and some PI planners all-in-one. Not only that, but it helps you find Ice belts, find particular planets for PI, and for those short of an extra screen on the side, it even comes with mobile support so you can plan our jump routes on your phone, including the ability to share those routes with others too.

EVE Pandora's new epic event

EVE Pandora is another third-party app we've featured many times over the years. It offers players missions and rewards during campaigns. They've just launched their first "Epic" event, which features a multi-stage mission and narrative event, like a living story where you can participate in the tale. If you enjoy a good story, especially if you have stronger feelings towards the Minmatar, you should take a look!

Shifting over to EVE Vanguard now, let's check out some of the things going on over there:

Blue Orb

Now that the Vanguard firmly have their boots on the ground in Operation Nemesis there have been several instances of a mysterious blue orb being encountered. The players don't know why it's there and frankly neither do we, but it won't be around for long. We encourage you to screenshot it whilst you can – or see Sawdeath, who has posted a reward for those who capture it!

Beginner's Guide

Just because you're an immortal war clone does not mean some beginner's advice is not needed. Thankfully, community member Juno Tristan is on hand to offer advice and his thoughts on Operation Nemesis.

Goblins..?

Little green men have reportedly invaded New Eden, but don't worry, we don't think they're extra terrestrial; they're, in fact, goblins! The Vanguard level designers have hidden at least one Goblin that can be found. Why have Easter Eggs when you can have Goblins?

EVE Vanguard Podcast - The Lore of War

The latest Vanguard podcast is here entitled 'The Lore of War' where CCP JayEss talks about how the game ties to the wider Eve universe, Bastions and of course Deathless.

That's it for this edition of the Community Beat, we look forward to seeing you on the ground, or in the skies!
